WORKSHOP MINUTES

OCTOBER 19, 2009

7:00 P.M.

Mayor Marasco called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

The Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation were given at the Special 6:45 P.M. meeting.

Roll Call indicated Mayor and all Council members were present.

A motion to adopt the agenda was made by Mr Witt, seconded by Mr Arnold.

Mayor Marasco called on Mr Jaywork, the town’s attorney for some matters of discussion. Mr. Jaywork introduced Mr Barrett Edwards. Mr. Edwards is the attorney who will eventually be handling matters for the town.

A lengthy discussion followed touching on several items i.e. issues in The Greens, Clean Hands Ordinance, dangerous buildings and  Home Owner Associations.

Mr. Nate Robinson from the Small Business Association made a presentation. He stated that there is help available for new business and Town revitalization. Literature was left at Town Hall Annex.

Town Pride Day will be the 1st Saturday in June 2010 from 5 until 9. Event will take place at the Park. DJ  Sky Brady will be contacted for confirmation.

Motion to adjourn at 8:37 P.M. by Mr Witt, seconded by Mr. Spruill.
